Soccer: Keane out of action for 21 days

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has told his Irish counterpart, Mick McCarthy, that midfielder Roy Keane will be out of action for 21 days because of a knee injury.

That means the influential Corkman will miss both legs of the World Cup play-off against either Iran or the United Arab Emirates next month.
