Premiership: Referee to be relegated over Keane yellow card

The British Football Association has confirmed that referee Dermot Gallagher will be relegated to the First Division as punishment for not sending off Robbie Keane on Saturday.

The Irish striker only received a yellow card when he reacted to David Beckham’s stern tackle by pushing him with two hands.

Gallagher will now be hauled before the FA, who will tell him how long he will have to spend in the First Division for failing to produce a red card.
