Soccer: Beckham contract talks postponed

David Beckham is reported to have called off talks over his new Old Trafford contract until the successor to Sir Alex Ferguson is found.

Manchester United is refusing to comment, with the midfielder’s current deal due to expire at the end of next season.

Ferguson steps down in May.
