Premiership: Ferguson plans clear-out

Sir Alex Ferguson may sell five players in a bid to recoup the £50m he has spent this summer, it has been reported.

Mark Wilson, Jon Greening, and Quinton Fortune are already on the transfer list. They could be joined by Ronnie Wallwork and Michael Stewart.

United have spent £19m on Ruud van Nistelrooy and £28m on Juan Sebastian Veron. The club made a profit of £7m last year.
