Premiership: Giggs - I considered move abroad
Ryan Giggs has admitted that he considered a move away from Manchester United last season.
Giggs revealed the thought of playing abroad appealed to him for a time at the end of last campaign.
But the Welsh winger says he quickly changed his mind and signed a new five-year deal with the club.
Giggs makes the revelation in a half-hour special interview with MUTV tonight, the evening which he marks his testimonial season with a friendly against Celtic at Old Trafford.
He said: "The end of last season was when I first really thought about playing abroad, because I could quite easily have said that I want a new challenge, having won so much with United.
"But there is a challenge every year with United, you want to be winning trophies, you want to be the best team.
"People talk about Real Madrid and Bayern Munich but I honestly think that would be a step down going there because United are so big."
