Premiership: Leboeuf set to join Marseille
Frank Leboeuf has quit Chelsea.
The west London club confirmed they have agreed a fee with Marseille for the French international.
The fee is believed to be about £1.2m for the 33-year-old defender, who has only one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Leboeuf still needs to agree personal terms with Marseille, as well as pass a medical, but has only recently spoken fondly of a move back to the south of France.
Chelsea managing director, Colin Hutchinson, said: "We have agreed a deal with Marseille with regard to Frank Leboeuf.
"Frank is now on his way to France to hold talks with the club.
"It has been fairly well-documented that, back in January, he was keen to go to Monaco.
"That deal fell through but now Frank has another opportunity to finish his career in his homeland.
"Marseille is close to the area where his parents live." Leboeuf is expected to sign a two-year contract at the French club.
