Premiership: Souness wins race for Grabbi
Blackburn manager Graeme Souness has launched a summer spending spree by capturing Italian target Corrado Grabbi for £7m.
The Ternana striker, also being tracked by Italian Serie A sides Fiorentina and Udinese, has opted for Lancashire after being impressed by the set up at Ewood Park.
Grabbi, who has signed a four-year deal, is the first of a string of expected new arrivals at Rovers who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the top-flight.
Souness has a reported £20m in the kitty for new players which could be boosted further by the sale of goalkeeper Alan Kelly, who, according the club's official website, is considering a move to relegated Coventry.
Rovers would be willing to listen to offers for the veteran keeper who was third choice behind Brad Friedel and John Filan last season.
