Premiership: Court fines Duberry for speeding
Leeds United footballer Michael Duberry has been fined £250 for speeding.
The Premiership player was clocked doing 67mph in a 40mph zone on January 8 this year, Leeds Magistrates Court has been told.
Duberry, who did not attend the hearing, pleaded guilty by letter.
The letter from solicitors Barker & Gillette said: "Mr Duberry would wish to apologise to everybody concerned, in particular to the court for the inconvenience he has caused."
Duberry was also ordered to pay £30 costs and had six penalty points added to his driving licence.
The court heard that Duberry had been travelling nearly 30mph over the speed limit in his Mercedes on Easterly Road, in Harehills, Leeds.
