Shelbourne came from 3-0 down to salvage their title retention hopes in this thriller at the Brandywell.

Derry, with nothing to play for, blitzed Shels to run up a 3-0 lead within 20 minutes.

Darren McCready shot home a third minute penalty after Mark Hutchison handled.

Liam Coyle then set up Gareth McGlynn for the second on 12 minutes before volleying home a spectacular third himself eight minutes later.

Richie Foran gave Shels hope when pulling a goal back on 22 minutes.

Captain Pat Scully forced home a second goal for Shels on 52 minutes to continue the revival.

And sub Stephen Geoghegan completed the comeback on 68 minutes when heading home a Fenlon fre-kick.
