Goals from Anthony Buckley and Mark Herrick kept Cork City's European dream alive as Rovers' season ended in disappointment.

Buckley fired City in front on 41 minutes after good work by Ollie Cahill and John Caulfield.

Mark Herrick then volleyed home the second on 65 minutes after Tony O'Dowd punched a corner to him.

Rovers rallied and got a goal back from Tony Grant three minutes later.

But it was Cork's day despite having boss Liam Murphy sent from the dugout in the final minute.

UCD 1 Derry City 1

UCD dropped two points adrift into the bottom two as Derry did neighbours Finn Harps a favour.

Derry went in front on 52 minutes when Sean Hargan tapped home after great work by Eddie McCallion and Liam Coyle.

College, who went three at the back and pushed Clive Delaney up front, got back into it on 68 minutes when Derek Swan shot home from inside the area.

Eoin Bennis should then have won it for UCD late on but shot over the top with only the keeper to beat.
