Soccer: Eriksson set to give Cole another chance

Andy Cole is set to be given another chance to kick-start his England career in Albania.

Andy Cole is set to be given another chance to kick-start his England career in Albania.

Sven-Goran Eriksson will stick with the beleaguered striker, who has failed to score in 12 international matches to date.

Eriksson confirmed that his starting line-up would be similar to the side which came from behind to beat Finland at Anfield on Saturday.

"Andy had a very good chance against Finland and I think he was unlucky - he is a very good player," Eriksson said.

"I spoke to him yesterday and also a little today and he seems very calm and relaxed. As long as we win it's not important who scores the goals."

Eriksson's only enforced change after Saturday will be in midfield, with Steven Gerrard out with a back injury and likely to be replaced by Manchester United's Nicky Butt.

Eriksson added: "I think we can do a little bit better than we did against Finland but the team will be more or less the same."
