Irwin hints at move

Dennis Irwin has hinted he may leave Old Trafford at the end of the season in a bid to extend his playing career.

Irwin recently announced his retirement from international football after winning 56 caps for the Republic of Ireland.

The 35-year-old has been at Old Trafford for 10 years after moving from Oldham for a bargain £625,000.

He told the club's official website: "My contract is up this year and I have about two-and-a-half years of playing in me at the most.

"I'd be happy to drop down a division and keep going I love playing football."
