Deadly Vinnie Faherty pounces twice against Wexford Youths as Galway run continues

Youths were looking to bounce back following two successive 4-0 defeats, to St Patrick’s in the league, and against Limerick in the EA Sports Cup. Boss Shane Keegan was without last seasons’ leading striker Danny Furlong through suspension as they tried for only their second home win.

Tommy Dunne’s Galway were seeking to continue their good start to the season yet Wexford almost scored inside 90 seconds but Andy Mulligan’s shot was too close to keeper Conor Winn.
