VIDEO: Midfield a cause of concern for Cork City
Miller was substituted with a calf strain in the 1-0 win away to Bohemians last Friday and, although Healy was able to come off the bench in the same game, he suffered a reaction to the heel injury which has limited his availability in the final third of the season.
Both players – along with striker John O’Flynn who missed the game in Dalymount with a groin injury – will be given final fitness tests tomorrow morning. Due to these injury concerns, Under 19 players Cian Coleman and Chiedozie Ogbene have been added to the squad.
For Dundalk, captain Stephen O’Donnell is rated a “serious doubt” after aggravating a groin injury in the 4-0 victory over Bray Wanderers at Oriel Park which saw Stephen Kenny’s team complete the defence of their title with a record-breaking 78 goals scored.
Cork City, who have now twice finished runners-up to the Lilywhites in the league, are in search of their third FAI Cup Final win, while Dundalk, chasing their 10th cup success, are also on the brink of their first double since 1988 and only the third in the club’s 112-year history.
This will be the fourth and final meeting of the sides this season, their previous encounters all coming in the league, with Dundalk having the best of two draws and one win.
Tomorrow’s men’s final in the Aviva Stadium, kicking off at 3.30pm, will be preceded by the women’s final – between Wexford Youths and Shelbourne - in the same venue at 12.20pm.
Tickets for for both games will be available for purchase from tomorrow morning and the arrangements are as follows: from 10am at Turnstile Q in the South East corner of the Aviva Stadium and from 11am at the Ticketmaster Outlet in the Ballsbridge Hotel and also from the Ticketmaster Van which will be located at the junction of Northumberland Road and Lansdowne Road.
