Not for the first time this season, confusion surrounded Bray Wanderers last night with manager Trevor Croly understood to have quit ahead of this evening’s Airtricity League fixture in Limerick (6.30pm).

It’s believed Croly took the decision following a week of off-field strife that included playing staff delays in wages and plan to add new recruits being shelved.

Yesterday, the Seagulls refused to comment on the situation but it’s thought highly unlikely that Croly will be in charge for what is a vital match against the division’s basement side at Markets Field.
