Twelve months ago, the Belgian international teenager was arguably the most talked about rising star in the Premier League with 24 first team appearances under his belt and three goals, including a remarkable double at Sunderland that heralded his arrival at the top of the domestic game.

Fast forward 12 months, under Moyes’ successor Louis van Gaal, and Januzaj has featured in just 14 games and this routine victory over struggling Leicester represented his first start since November.
