Serie A champions Juventus have made an approach for Manchester United’s Patrice Evra according to reports.

The French full-back recently signed a new one-year contract that was sanctioned by new United manager Louis van Gaal.

However, the Senegalese born player may be seeking a new challenge after United splashed out £27m - a record fee for a teenager - on Southampton's left-sided defender Luke Shaw.
