Hat-trick for Ronaldo in Real Madrid romp

Ronaldo then got in on the act with a close range finish before the Portuguese ace added another when he swept home a rebound.
Galatasaray were in disarray and Benzema notched his second of the game with a two-yard tap-in from Ronaldo’s cross.
The hosts grabbed a deserved consolation six minutes from time through substitute Umut Bulut before Ronaldo completed the scoring with a sensational solo goal in stoppage time.

Fabio Quagliarella ended Wiland’s resistance nine minutes into the second half, levelling the scores through Federico Peluso’s cross.
Holders Bayern Munich made a sparkling start to their title defence, Pep Guardiola’s side easing past CSKA Moscow 3-0 in their Group D opener at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern got off to a dream start when David Alaba floated a vicious free kick over the wall and past keeper Igor Akinfeev in the third minute. Croat Mario Mandzukic added a second in the 41st minute, heading in an Arjen Robben free kick, before the Dutchman made it 3-0 midway through the second-half.
In Manchester United’s Group A, Shakhtar Donetsk pulled off a fine away win at Real Sociedad, goals from Alex Teixeira helping the Ukrainians to a 2-0 victory in the Basque region.
Filip Djuricic and Luisao were on target as Benfica claimed a 2-0 victory from their Champions League Group C opener against Anderlecht.
Paris St Germain are top of Group C after their 4-1 win at Olympiacos.
Edinson Cavani put PSG ahead on 19 minutes but Vladimir Weiss equalised for the Greek side six minutes later.
Sweden’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed a second-half penalty but two goals from Thiago Motta and one from Marquinhos ensured the Parisian side got off to a winning start.
