The 26-year-old winger has flattered to deceive at Old Trafford and new boss David Moyes is thought to be ready to sell this summer. Galatasaray are among the clubs who are interested in signing Nani, who has just one year left on his contract, but claim they cannot meet United’s valuation and won’t improve on the €7m offer United have rejected.
The Turkish club’s chairman, Unal Aysal, said: “We offered €7m for him. But they didn’t accept. We can’t give more than this.”
One transfer that could happen involves Stephan El Shaarawy after AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani indicated the club may sell the striker. El Shaarawy, 20, scored 16 times for the Rossoneri before Christmas and has been linked with Napoli, Man City and Arsenal. City were reported to be preparing a swap deal involving striker Carlos Tevez for the left-footed forward, who joined Milan in 2011.
Galliani says he has not received an offer from City for El Shaarawy but told Corriere dello Sport they player could yet move.
He said: “El Shaarawy? We never said he is not for sale. Napoli? Ask president Aurelio De Laurentiis.”
Fiorentina have reached an agreement to sign veteran winger Joaquin from La Liga side Malaga while Javier Zanetti, 39, has signed a new one-year contract with Inter Milan.
