Brown remains on Limerick radar
Former Hull City manager Brown, who has held discussions with Limerick, had also been in the running for the vacant position at Fleetwood but the League Two side have now named Preston’s head of youth football Graham Alexander as their new manager.
That leaves open the possibility of Brown, who was recommended to Limerick by their one-time boss Sam Allardyce, becoming the successor to Pat Scully on Shannonside.
However, the interview process will only be completed when the last of a short list of 10 candidates — the majority understood to be UK-based — holds talks with the club today.
Having deliberated on their options over the weekend, ambitious Limerick hope they will be in a position early next week to unveil the man who will lead the team in the Airtricity League Premier Division next season.
