Wenger coy on link to Real star

Arsene Wenger has played it cool on reports that the Gunners have agreed a loan deal for Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin.

The Arsenal boss, speaking after the Gunners’ 2-0 friendly defeat to Manchester City in Beijing said reports a deal had been struck with the Turkish international and the new Real Madrid recruit were “wrong” but did not rule out such a move in the future.

“We didn’t sign anybody today, this report is wrong,” said Wenger.
