Mason could fit Trap bill, says Mackay

Giovanni Trapattoni has been told that Joe Mason can be a wild card selection this summer.

The Cardiff City striker has impressed for the Championship outfit this season, scoring 11 goals — including a memorable one in the Carling Cup final defeat to Liverpool.

And club boss Malky Mackay reckons the 20-year-old has the ability to make a late case for inclusion.
