Club support for heart charity

As Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba continues his recovery from the cardiac arrest he suffered on the pitch at White Hart Lane, Airtricity League of Ireland teams will this weekend raise awareness of the work being done in this country by the charity CRY (Caridac Risk In The Young).

Bohemians, St Pats, Sligo Rovers, Dundalk, Cork City, Bray Wanderers, Drogheda United, Derry City, Wexford Youths, Mervue United, Shelbourne, Monaghan United and UCD will all wear CRY t-shirts during their pre-game warm-ups while volunteers will collect donations for the charity in the grounds.

CRY, a registered charity founded ten years ago, raises funds to support families who have lost a relative to sudden cardiac death (SCD), raises awareness of the causes of SCD and helps fund the activities of the Centre for Cardiac Risk in Younger Persons (CRYP) in Tallaght Hospital.
