Szczesny returns to real world

ARSENAL goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has vowed to give up Twitter after the club’s defeat to Manchester United yesterday.

Szczesny returns to real world

The Polish star says he is quitting social media to concentrate on football.

Szczesny (@13Szczesny13) tweeted: “Its just about time for me to grow up, delete twitter and focus on football! Thanks for all the support I have received here.”

Szczesny had been a prolific tweeter but has been involved in some controversy through his use of the social media platform. He received strong criticism after joking that teammate Aaron Ramsey looked like a “rapist” and “paedophile” on Twitter.

“There are some things we should not joke about and I have crossed the line. Sorry!” Szczesny said at the time.

And back in November, television sex line model Letesha Collins revealed that Szczesny had been trying to contact her via Twitter’s direct message system, while he also ridiculed Chelsea’s Ashley Cole on Twitter.
