Hibs will be all out for Edinburgh derby win
Hibs, under new boss Pat Fenlon, are one point and one place off the bottom of the SPL and a derby victory will go a long way to bringing the feel-good factor back to Easter Road.
Hearts have their own troubles, with financial woes meaning players have not been paid. But Murray expects nothing less than the usual full-bloodied clash today. He said: “It’s a strange situation for both clubs. It’s hard for the Hearts boys as they don’t know when their next pay cheque is coming. It’s a shame for them.
“In saying that, it’s probably the one game when they’ll be up for it, regardless.
“And they’re not going to feel sorry for us sitting at the bottom end of the table so we can’t afford to feel sorry for them. Both clubs are in the middle of a slump. Hearts are maybe sitting in the top six but there’s that cloud over them. But all that goes out the window for the fans on derby day. They don’t care about any of it. They want a result and it should be the usual good atmosphere and good banter.”
Former Bohemians boss Fenlon is likely to draft in new signing Eoin Doyle into his Hibs squad.
