MANCHESTER UNITED have done another treble — remaining at the top of the Forbes rich list of sport’s most valuable franchises for the third straight year.

Forbes put United’s wealth at $1.86 billion (€1.31 billion), with the Glazer family’s other interest Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming in at number 18, worth $1.03 billion (€729m). Interestingly, Forbes put United’s debt-to-value ratio at 41%, well above the 26% average of the top 50.

NFL teams dominate the list with Dallas Cowboys in the No. 2 slot. Arsenal are in seventh with Chelsea down in 46th, while European champions Barcelona are worth $975m (€690m) in 26th. Ferrari are another standout name in 13th.
