Duggan blasts Cork top
A first-half that lacked the cutting edge came to life on 39 minutes when a foul on Conor Sinnott on the edge of the penalty area saw Paul Murphy’s resulting free kick take a deflection off the wall before flying past Mark McNulty.
Greg O’Halloran had the sides level in the first minute of first-half injury time. Gearoid Morrissey’s cross from the right was laid off by Graham Cummins into the path of O’Halloran, who gave Kevin Burns little chance with a super left-footed strike from the edge of the area.
Although United dominated, they paid the price when they fell behind to a Shane Duggan goal on 74 minutes.

SHANE NOLAN struck a injury time winner as Limerick FC slipped to their first home defeat of the season at Jackman Park last night.
With the game heading for an uninspiring goalless draw, Nolan broke down the middle and chipped Dave Ryan in the 82nd minute.
Youths keeper Packie Holden pulled off two fine saves from Shane Tracey and Stephen O’Flynn in an opening half in which chances were few and far between.
Gary McCurtain went close for Wexford Youths just after the break with a well-taken free kick.
Geoff Judge took advantange of a mix up in the Youths defence late on but squeezed his shot wide.
Judge then played Sean O’Connor through but he fired wide before Nolan’s dramatic winner.

FINN HARPS and Salthill Devon both finished with 10 men as the two First Division strugglers played out a scoreless draw at Finn Park.
The best chance of the first half fell to Salthill’s Etanda Nkololo whose delightfully weighted 25-yard effort clipped the crossbar on 41 minutes while Kevin McHugh went closest for Harps.
Salthill were reduced to 10 men in the 73rd minute when striker Victor Collins was shown a second yellow.
Harps then had Brolly sent off for a rash challenge on Cian McBrian on 77 minutes.
Harps nearly snatched a dramatic winner in the 90 minute but substitute Oisin McMenamin headed wide.

A CLINICAL David ‘Fabio’ O’Brien strike sealed the points for Monaghan at Gortakeegan.
They had to survive a strong second half from Longford, for whom sub Keith Gillespie struck the post with the lack kick of the game.
