Scholes: Time to stand up and start playing

The veteran Manchester United midfielder is hoping to add more winners’ medals to his collection over the coming weeks, with the team currently top of the Premier League.

United also face Crawley Town in the FA Cup fifth round tomorrow before meeting Marseille in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 next week. Scholes is looking forward to the battle for honours and wants the Red Devils to maintain a consistent level of performance.

“You know there are 12 games left in the league, the FA Cup is getting down to the latter stages and Europe is starting again,” he said.

“Every game becomes more important. It is the time to stand up and start playing.”
