Warnock bans players from Tweeting

NEIL WARNOCK has banned his Queens Park Rangers squad from using Twitter to write about club matters after several players posted messages attacking Blackburn’s El Hadji Diouf.

The players, Bradley Orr and Paddy Kenny, were responding after Diouf was accused of abusing Jamie Mackie while he was on the ground with a broken leg during their FA Cup third round defeat on Saturday.

After the match, Warnock accused Diouf of being “the lowest of the low’’, saying that “to call him a sewer rat would be an insult to sewer rats’’.

Mackie, who had broken a tibia and fibula, claimed via Twitter: “Proper disappointed that El Hadji Diouf was in my ear while (I) am on the deck with a broken leg saying ‘fuck you and fuck your leg’.’’

Right-back Orr later told his Twitter followers: “Never come across a more repulsive human being than E H Diouf! The things he was saying were disgusting! The lad has just broken his leg! You horrible disgusting man E H Diouf! Your time will come!’’

Kenny followed with: “So gutted for the boy Mackie, football can be horrible sometimes, and that c*** diouf will get it one day, what goes around comes around.’’

Warnock, mindful that the FA charged Liverpool midfielder Ryan Babel with misconduct for mocking referee Howard Webb via Twitter, has told his squad to keep their thoughts to themselves.

Warnock told the Fulham Chronicle. “I’ve had a word with the lads about this: they can use Twitter all they want — as long as it has nothing to do with the club.’’
