Meyler back in Sunderland squad for Hammers tie

IRISH starlet David Meyler will be part of Sunderland’s squad for the first time since last May tomorrow.

Black Cats manager Steve Bruce confirmed yesterday that Meyler will be included in his match day 18 for the visit of West Ham for the first time since the 21-year-old sustained serious knee ligament damage against Manchester United in the final weekend of last season.

It was initially feared Meyler would be out of action for as long as 12 months and the speed of his recovery has delighted Bruce.
