MANCHESTER CITY emphasised their Europa League credentials hitting the goal trail against Salzburg, with Italian starlet Mario Balotelli scoring twice to ease the Blues to victory.

They completed the double over the Austrian champions with a convincing victory, Adam Johnson scoring the other goal, meaning City qualified for the last 32 with a game to spare.

City pressure paid off pressure paid off in the 18th minute thanks to Balotelli, who swept home a fine volley from inside the area following a cross from Pablo Zabaleta.
