Coyle hails Elmander effort

BOLTON boss Owen Coyle has heaped praise on Johan Elmander for the way the striker has turned his Trotters career around.

The Swede arrived at the Reebok Stadium in the summer of 2008 in a £10 million (€11.2m) deal from Toulouse but struggled to live up to his price tag, netting only five goals in each of his first two seasons in England.

This term has been a different story, though, and, by scoring the equaliser in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Wigan at the DW Stadium, Elmander has already equalled that tally.
