Houllier hails hero Heskey as Villa tame frustrated Wolves

GERARD HOULLIER has revealed his faith in Aston Villa match-winner Emile Heskey and urged the striker to “keep believing in himself”.

Heskey came off the bench to transform Villa’s fortunes during the midweek Carling Cup tie with Blackburn and he responded after being given his first Barclays Premier League start for six months with a late winner in the 2-1 win at Wolves.

The goal, which saw Heskey head home an 87th-minute cross from Stephen Warnock, enabled Houllier to emerge triumphant from his first Barclays Premier League match in charge of the midlands club.
