Trapattoni impressed with new recruits

GIOVANNI TRAPATTONI was happy to end his season on a high after two strong performances this week.

Ireland may not have a World Cup to look forward to, but their Italian manager is already thinking about the Euro 2012 qualification campaign.

He has introduced new blood to his squad this week and after watching newcomers Greg Cunningham and Paul Green play well on their first Ireland starts Trapattoni said he expects to see some of the new faces back in August ahead of Ireland’s friendly with Argentina.
