Blues deserve to win title, says Lampard

MIDFIELDER Frank Lampard believes Barclays Premier League champions-elect Chelsea fully deserve the title for the way they have performed at a crucial stage of the season.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side responded to a shock 4-2 home defeat by Manchester City at the end of February by putting together a nine-match run in which they won seven, drew one and lost one.

During that spell they crucially beat title rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford, defeated Liverpool at Anfield and put seven past both Aston Villa and Stoke.
