Duff’s timely reminder for Trap

BOBBY ZAMORA secured a deserved victory for Fulham with a dramatic 89th minute free kick but the eye of watching Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni had already been taken by Damien Duff’s equally impressive contribution 30 minutes previously.

Duff’s timely reminder for Trap

With Fulham trailing to a spectacular Chris Baird own goal that had gifted Birmingham the lead in the third minute, Duff produced a moment of inspiration to bring the home side back into the game at a point when City appeared set to hold on.

Receiving the ball just inside his own half, Duff sped forward and exchanged passes with Zoltan Gera before drifting past two more defenders and drilling a left foot shot beyond visiting keeper Joe Hart and in off the post.
