McCann blow for Burnley

BURNLEY have suffered a hammer blow with the news that influential midfielder Chris McCann will be out until Christmas.

The 22-year-old Dubliner has been an ever-present this season, having missed only three of the club’s 61 games in all competitions last term.

Clarets boss Owen Coyle revealed McCann suffered medial ligament damage in a challenge with Sunderland’s Michael Turner in Burnley’s 3-1 win over the Black Cats on Saturday.
