Wenger: Wilshere can be our Rooney

ARSENE WENGER believes Jack Wilshere can be Arsenal’s Wayne Rooney.

The 17-year-old may have missed out on a call-up to the England U21 squad for the friendly against Holland next week, but much is expected of the gifted young midfielder.

Wilshere netted twice in the recent 3-0 victory over Rangers to complete an impressive weekend at the Emirates Cup, in front of watching England manager Fabio Capello.
