Hull reaching for the eurostars

PHIL BROWN may insist he has no interest in taking charge at Sunderland, but nobody would dare accuse English football’s most in-demand young manager of lacking ambition.

Hull’s ascent this season still carries the whiff of fairytale but Brown claims Europe is very much a concrete ambition for his vibrant side after they consolidated their position in the top six with this dramatic triumph.

“It’s flattering to be associated with big clubs but we are trying to turn Hull City into a big club,” he said.
