McDonald: SPL form means nothing

SCOTT MCDONALD will not bank on Celtic’s impressive SPL form playing any part in ending their Champions League away-day hoodoo when they face Aalborg tomorrow.

The former Motherwell striker helped Gordon Strachan’s side to a 3-1 victory over St Mirren on Saturday to extend their winning run in the Premier League to 11 games.

Goals from Georgios Samaras, Shunsuke Nakamura and substitute Cillian Sheridan set up the SPL leaders for another tilt at ending their winless run in Europe’s premier club competition.
