Drogs stadium plans hit by planning snag

DROGHEDA UNITED’S plans to build a new stadium in Co Meath suffered a planning setback last night.

The National Roads Authority launched an appeal to the plan, on the grounds it will impact the national roads network.

Meath Co Council gave the project the go-ahead for the plans at Bryanstown, Beymore, Co Meath, last month.

With the project now before An Bord Pleanála, it may well be held up for several months.
