Ronaldo admits ‘wonderful’ feat

IN the midst of Manchester United’s heady run to the brink of Champions League and Premier League glory, a dip in form from Cristiano Ronaldo has gone almost unnoticed.

Few strikers, let alone wingers, would be unduly troubled by a five-game scoreless streak but such is the Portuguese’s prolific record this term, that sequence almost qualifies a drought.

The heavens opened again on Saturday against West Ham, however, as a double took Ronaldo to 40 goals for the season — 30 of them in the league — and United to within sight of yet another Premier League title.
