Liverpool duo set for new deals

LIVERPOOL are lining up a new one-year contract for veteran defender Sami Hyypia and have also opened talks over a new deal with striker Peter Crouch.

Hyypia, 35 in October, sees his current deal run out in the summer, and there has been interest from Fulham and Newcastle.

But the Finn stated he wants to complete 10 years at the club next term, and Anfield sources confirmed he will be granted his wish.
