CELTIC manager Gordon Strachan will not put the Scottish Premier League under pressure by asking for a free weekend to prepare for their home Champions League clash with Barcelona later this month.

The Clydesdale Bank Premier League fixture list has been thrown into chaos due mainly to the adverse weather in the recent few weeks.

The SPL have struggled to re-arrange games and have also yet to find a date for the second Old Firm game of the season which was postponed following the tragic death of former Motherwell skipper Phil O’Donnell, the ex-Celtic player who died after collapsing in ‘Well’s match against Dundee United at the end of last year.
