Berbatov wants ‘absurd’ speculation about his future to stop

DIMITAR BERBATOV has called for an end to speculation linking him with a transfer from Tottenham and has revealed his determination to win a trophy at White Hart Lane.

The 26-year-old will be in his first English final if Spurs get past Arsenal in the Carling Cup, with the first leg at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow, but has persistently been tipped to leave.

Spurs head coach Juande Ramos last week suggested it would take a British transfer record to sign the Bulgaria striker, while chairman Daniel Levy is adamant the club will not listen to offers for key players.
