Spurs ready to roast Royals

SPURS first-team coach Gus Poyet believes the spectacular 6-4 game with Reading less than a week ago in the Premier League will have no bearing on today’s FA Cup third-round clash with the Royals.

Juande Ramos’s men had to come from behind three times to take the points in a thrilling match at White Hart Lane, but Poyet hopes the north London outfit can overcome a much-changed Reading side a lot easier this time around.

Said Poyet: “I think the 6-4 was a one-off. I don’t think it will happen again and this is the FA Cup. We really care about the FA Cup so we have to win the game.”
