WITH his blond hair and eye for a goal, Andy Keogh will always stand out on the football pitch but what really endears the 21-year-old Dubliner to the Wolves faithful is the full shift he’s prepared to put in over 90 minutes.

His appetite for hard work has paid off handsomely over the past nine months, beginning in January with Mick McCarthy bringing him from Scunthorpe to Molineux and climaxing at the end of last season with a senior debut for his country against Ecuador in Giants Stadium.

That experience had the player fondly reminiscing at the time about moving into a new family home in Dublin as a kid and sitting on bare floorboards as he watched Ray Houghton on the telly score his celebrated goal against Italy in US ‘94.
