Stallone watches Everton concede sucker-punch own goal

EVERTON boss David Moyes described the own goal his side conceded against Reading as “a shabby goal” and insisted that Ibrahima Sonko could have been sent off in the first-half of the 1-1 draw.

Joleon Lescott was credited with an own goal midway through the first period and it was not until nine minutes from time that Andrew Johnson headed the equaliser. Johnson had earlier been sent tumbling on the edge of the box by Sonko, who was the last man and had only just been cautioned for tripping the England international.

Moyes said: “The foul on him in the first half was outside the area, and although I do not want to see people sent off, I have certainly seen players yellow-carded for that sort of offence.
