McClaren plays down Scolari issue

SVEN-GORAN ERIKSSON is not motivated by revenge but the word will be impossible to avoid as another showdown with Luiz Felipe Scolari looms.

The two managers will collide again — in Gelsenkirchen on Saturday — with a place in the World Cup semi-finals at stake.

Scolari is Eriksson’s nemesis — the man who dumped him out of the last two major competitions and was the first-choice to replace him as England boss.
