Magpies to offload Luque

NEWCASTLE misfit Albert Luque is being targeted by a series of Spanish clubs after launching an attack on manager Glenn Roeder.

The 28-year-old has blamed Roeder, who was only appointed caretaker boss at St James’ Park in February, for his absence from the Spain squad for the World Cup finals.

Atletico Madrid are understood to have joined UEFA Cup winners Sevilla and Real Zaragoza in monitoring his situation.
